Description: This is a circa 1901 American Waltham Watch Co. railroad grade, railroad approved, Vanguard pocket watch in excellent condition. This watch has a double sunk white dial, thick blue hands, black numbers 1-12, red numbers 5-60 and is marked Waltham. This watch winds, sets and runs and seems to be mechanically sound. There is a barely visible hairline by the 8, a small chip that is hidden by the bezel and a few tiny scratches visible in the shield on the back. Other than that it is hard to find anything bad. Over all this is a very nice looking watch. If you are looking for a high quality old watch this one is very nice.
