Description: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CASE! This is an Elgin National Watch Co. Grade 335 18 size, 17 jewel Pocket Watch circa 1908. The dial is fancy with thin black hands and numbers and is near flawless. This watch is not railroad grade, it is not even adjusted and the crystal is cracked but, it winds smoothly, started on its own, runs strong and keeps pretty good time. This gorgeous, near mint case is a fancy, heavy, multi-colored Warranted 14k U.S. Assay solid gold hunters full box hinge case that is hinged front, back and inner back. The case shows almost no signs of use, has a strong hinge and a firm bow, is intricately etched and has four different colors of gold. And, as the crowning jewel, the back has an eagle and shield with a 1/2 carat diamond.
